Suns 2026 Campaign Preparations in Full Swing

Queensland Suns Continue to Rise with National Selections

Preparations for our 2026 Queensland Suns campaign are well underway, with our men’s athletes now four weeks into squad training. Earlier this month we welcomed our regional athletes, with some fierce match play on display, an exciting glimpse of the talent and depth building across our program. A special thank you goes to the umpires who supported the session and helped create such a high-quality training environment.

Our female athlete squad offers have now been sent, and we look forward to welcoming them to training from Saturday 16 November, marking an exciting next phase in our program.

Queensland President, Darren Gillespie, said the early signs are promising:

“The energy and commitment across our squads have been exceptional. Both metro and regional athletes are showing great intent and pride in representing the Suns, and we’re excited to see that continue as we bring the women’s squad into training this month.”

We expect our Open squad team selections to be finalised before Christmas, rounding out what has been a strong start to the campaign.

The Queensland Suns Committee extends a huge thank you to all athletes, coaches, managers, and umpires for their hard work and dedication so far - your collective efforts are setting the foundation for a stellar 2026 season.
