Expression of Interest Now Open

The Queensland Suns Men’s & Mixed Netball Association is inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) from qualified Strength & Conditioning (S&C) providers to deliver high-performance physical preparation services for our Men’s and Mixed teams in the lead-up to the 2026 Australian Championships, and beyond.

We’re seeking a motivated partner to design and deliver an evidence-based program that builds athletic excellence, enhances readiness for competition, and supports the holistic development of our athletes, umpires, and coaching staff.
About the Program
Our High Performance Strength & Conditioning framework is designed to:
Deliver a structured, periodised program aligned with the physical demands of elite netball.
Enhance performance while minimising injury risk.
Integrate S&C, physiotherapy, medical, and coaching teams into a cohesive performance environment.
This initiative forms a key part of the Suns’ High Performance Pathway, ensuring our
athletes are physically and mentally prepared to compete at the highest level.
Service Delivery Options
To allow flexibility and value for money, the Queensland Suns are open to different service levels. Providers may propose delivery under one or more of the following:

Gold Standard Comprehensive Program
A fully integrated, year-round solution including:

Annualised and individualised athlete programs

Weekly in-person S&C sessions and camp attendance

Load monitoring and testing phases

Education workshops on nutrition, recovery, and wellbeing

Full integration with physio and coaching staff

Silver Standard
Balanced Program
A focused, semi-annualised option featuring:

Group-based sessions and baseline testing
-
Weekly in-person sessions
-
Progress reports and ongoing collaboration with coaching staff

Bronze Standard Foundational Program
A streamlined model covering essential S&C elements:

Squad-wide programs updated throughout the season
-
Pre-Nationals testing and Nationals coverage
-
Recovery and self-management guidelines
Program Framework
Target Groups

Umpire Squad (approx. 15 umpires)
Core Focus Areas
Strength & Power: Resistance training, lower-limb resilience
Agility & Movement: Sprint mechanics, deceleration, reactive drills
Conditioning: Netball-specific anaerobic endurance
Injury Prevention: Knee & ankle focus using NA's KNEE program
Performance Tracking: Data collection, profiling, phased testing
Collaboration: Regular communication with coaches and physio staff
Program Phases

Phase 1
Preseason (8–12 weeks)
Build strength, agility, and mobility foundations.

Phase 2
Competition
Maintain strength and power, manage load, and optimise in-game performance.

Phase 3
Recovery
Facilitate active recovery, rehabilitation, and long-term athlete health.
Additional Integration
The program should align with our holistic
High Performance model through:

Physiotherapy and screening collaboration
Athlete load tracking tools (e.g., AMS apps)
Educational workshops for athletes and umpires
What we're
looking for
Successful providers will demonstrate:

Tertiary qualification and ASCA accreditation (min Level 1)
Experience working with elite or sub-elite athletes
Strong collaboration and communication across teams
Transparent pricing and value for money across service levels
A shared commitment to athlete wellbeing and performance

Your program’s success will be measured by:

Achievement of physical benchmarks prior to Nationals
Positive athlete, coach, and staff feedback
Evidence of injury prevention and recovery success
Clear reporting and collaboration with the High Performance Director
