The Queensland Suns are proud to celebrate the announcement of four of our own being selected to represent Australia on the international stage.
Three Suns athletes have been named in the Australian Under 23 Men’s Team, a testament to their hard work, talent, and commitment to the sport:
Harry Ladd – earning his first-ever national call-up, Harry’s debut selection marks an exciting milestone in his young career. His athleticism, composure, and on-court creativity have made him a standout at state level, and now he will don the green and gold for the first time.
Daniel Statton – already experienced at international level through his previous tours with the Australian 20&U Men’s team, Daniel now steps up into the 23&U ranks for the first time. His progression is a reflection of his continued development and consistent performances in Suns colours.
Jordon Webb – a familiar face at the top level, Jordon brings with him extensive experience, having toured previously with both the Australian 23&U Men and the Australian Open Men (Kelpies). His leadership and high-performance pedigree will be an invaluable asset to the squad.
In addition to our athletes, the Suns are delighted to congratulate Tracey Jeanes-Fraser on her appointment as Australian Mixed Head Coach for the upcoming tour. Tracey’s selection recognises her exceptional coaching record, her wealth of national and international experience, and her ability to cultivate high-performance culture at every level.
These selections continue a strong tradition of Suns athletes breaking through to the international arena. At the 2025 Nationals in Perth, three of our juniors – Ethan Krelle, Miller Page, and Lachlan Brandon – proudly represented Australia in the 17&Under team at the Pacific Horizon Cup. Their performances on the national stage helped pave the way for today’s successes and highlight the depth of talent rising through our programs.
Queensland Suns President Darren Gillespie praised the selections:
“These achievements highlight the incredible talent and leadership within our Suns community. To see Harry, Daniel, Jordon, and Tracey represent Australia is not only a proud moment for them but also a reflection of the growing pathways we are building here in Queensland.”
The Queensland Suns congratulate our selected athletes and coach, and we look forward to cheering them on as they represent Australia with pride on the international stage.
