After months of intense training, preparation and unwavering commitment, the Queensland Suns 17 & Under team delivered a tour to remember at the 2025 AMMNA Championships, hosted at the State Sport Centres – Parkville in Melbourne.
From the first whistle to the final siren, the 17s showcased incredible skill, unity and determination — going through the tournament undefeated in a string of standout performances that solidified their place as one of the competition’s most exciting teams.
Their campaign peaked in a thrilling grand final, where the atmosphere inside the Melbourne State Netball and Hockey Centre was nothing short of electric. The Suns played with poise and passion, executing their game plan with precision and demonstrating why they had been the benchmark all week. It was a game that had the crowd on the edge of their seats and proved just how much talent is coming through Queensland’s high performance pathway.
The team's exceptional showing has resulted in four of our 17 & Under athletes receiving an invitation to attend the Aus Selections Camp. Lennox Tipene-Tahiti, Miler Page, Ethan Krelle and Lachlan Brandon now take their place alongside the best athletes in mens and mixed netball Australia has to offer.
We wish these four phenomenal athletes the very best as they continue their elite netball journey. Their achievement is a proud moment not just for the team, but for the entire Queensland Suns program.
