Queensland Suns Continue to Rise with National Selections


The Queensland Suns’ dedication to nurturing top-tier athletes is paying off in a big way, with our athletes and coaches making waves on the national scene. Our commitment to developing world-class talent is helping to set new standards for men’s and mixed netball in Queensland. 

 

Jordon Webb Makes His Mark with the Australian Kelpies 

A standout moment for the Suns came with Open Men’s star Jordon Webb, who recently made his debut with the Australian Kelpies during their international tour of England. Jordon’s recent selection for the Kelpies Squad follows his impressive performance at the AMMNA Championships in April this year, where he showcased his exceptional talent and leadership on the court.

 

AMMNA Mixed Australian Selection Camp: Suns Athletes Leading the Way 

Back on home turf, Suns athletes are continuing to stand out, with several of our players selected for the AMMNA Mixed Australian Selection Camp. This camp is all about finding the next wave of talent in mixed netball, and we couldn’t be more excited to have the following Suns athletes in the mix: 

 

  • Demi Burgess 

  • Aaron Clayton 

  • Mackenzie Jordan 

  • Hussein Kimbowa 

  • Billy Mayer 

  • Lara Turner 

 

Their selection is a testament to their hard work and commitment to their craft. Each of these athletes brings something special to the table, and we’re thrilled to see them representing the Suns and taking the next step in their netball journeys. 

 

AMMNA 23 & Under Australian Selection Camp: Rising Stars of the Future 

The talent coming out of the Suns just keeps getting stronger, with Kyle Holcroft, Harry Ladd, and Daniel Statton all selected for the AMMNA 23 & Under Australian Selection Camp. These rising stars are quickly proving themselves as some of the best up-and-coming players in the country, with their selection a proud moment for the Suns and a testament to the depth of talent in our program. Their achievements highlight the bright future of Queensland netball and the exciting pool of players coming through the Suns ranks.

As our athletes continue to push themselves to reach new heights, they are a testament to the incredible development programs in place at the Suns. Showcasing that the Suns are producing some of the best netballers in the country.
