The QLD Suns are proud to announce the ongoing development of a new Interim Strategic Plan, with the vision of setting a clear direction for the organisation over the next two years. This initiative comes as the previous strategic plan has reached its conclusion, prompting a renewed focus on purpose, priorities, and growth.
The Interim Strategic Plan will guide the Executive Committee and subcommittees as they continue to build on the foundations of the Suns’ legacy. This focused, two-year framework ensures that key operational and performance areas remain aligned with the organisation’s core values and ambitions while laying the groundwork for longer-term planning.
"This interim plan is a practical step forward to keep the organisation moving in the right direction while we prepare a broader vision for the future," said President Darren Gillespie as spokesperson for the QLD Suns Executive. "It ensures continuity, accountability, and progress as we begin work on our long-term goals."
Following the completion of the interim plan, the Suns will establish a dedicated Five-Year Strategic Plan Subcommittee. This group will include a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders which may include, athletes, members, volunteers, and partners, ensuring the next phase of the organisation’s journey is built through broad consultation and collaboration.
The QLD Suns remain committed to transparency, innovation, and strong community engagement as they look ahead to a dynamic and exciting future.
