The Queensland Suns’ unwavering commitment to athlete development continues to shine, with Suns athletes and coaches making a major impact on the national stage. At the heart of this progress is High Performance Director Tracey Jeanes-Fraser, whose leadership and long-term vision are setting the standard for men’s and mixed netball across Queensland.
Tracey’s tireless work and deep commitment to athlete growth were recognised with her appointment as Assistant Coach of the Australian Kelpies for their international tour of England last month. Joining her on tour was Queensland Suns Open Men’s standout, Jordon Webb, who made his debut for the Kelpies. A former Australian junior representative and Sunshine Coast Lightning training partner, Jordon brought his trademark intensity and smarts to the international court - a proud moment for the Suns family and a powerful endorsement of the program’s elite pathways.
Closer to home, the next generation of Suns stars have made headlines of their own, with the 17 & Under Australian team securing a series win against New Zealand in Melbourne just last week. Queensland Suns players played a starring role throughout the campaign, with Miller Page, Lachlan Brandon, and Ethan Krelle among the national squad members delivering key performances. Their selection followed an undefeated run at the 2025 AMMNA Championships, where four Suns players - Lennox Tipene-Tahiti, Miller Page, Lachlan Brandon, and Ethan Krelle - were initially named in the Australian squad.
This ongoing national success is a clear reflection of the depth, quality, and intent behind the Suns’ development framework. We are proud to continue producing world-class athletes and coaches who are not only reaching new heights but helping shape the future of our game.
