QLD SUNS TO COMPETE AT 2021 NISSAN STATE TITLES FOR THE SECOND YEAR IN A ROW

The Qld Suns 17 & Under men’s team has been invited to participate in the 2021 Nissan State Titles to compete against the region's best female teams in the Under 18’s division, to be played at Nissan Arena this Sunday 19th to Tuesday 21st.

Netball Qld and Qld Suns are mutually excited about the inclusion of our youngest state side in this prestigious competition for the 2nd year in a row. The support and encouragement as a result of last years inclusion has really elevated men’s netball in Queensland and has helped set the stage for boys participation at the 2022 state age competitions. Much like the Qld Under 16’s and Under 18’s ladies team, our national championship was also cancelled in July due to the increasing spread of COVID-19 around the country.

Our team has been together since September last year and has put in a huge effort in the lead up to our event so it’s great to see our boys get an opportunity to put all our hard work on show as a team.

Coach Tammy Holcroft said " this is a great opportunity for our boys and for the inclusion of men’s netball across the country. It’s great to be in partnership with Netball Qld to progress mens netball. Our boys are pumped to show their skill, discipline, work ethic, team culture and respect of the game. I can’t wait to see the amazing netball on display over the next 3 days.”

The team participating at this state titles is as below. Unfortunately we are missing Assistant Coach Mario Ryder and players Blake Armstrong and Riley Murray
