QLD SUNS EMERGING TALENT TO COMPETE IN BORN TO SHINE NETBALL MINI-SERIES

The QLD Suns have assembled an exciting young team to play in the Born to Shine netball mini-series next week. The squad consists of some of the best young talent to taking to the court alongside some of our current Open Men's players.


QLD Suns President Steven Curr said "We are delighted to be included in this mini-series. Community restrictions have resulted in consecutive cancellations of the Australian Men's & Mixed Netball Championships, so this tournament will provide us with much need opportunities develop our emerging talent and get players on the court."

QLD Suns Head Coach Garry Pashen, supported by our 2021 U20 coach Jaane Paul, will coach the team, to be co-captained by our current Open Men's Team captain Glenn Ormesher and Darren Gillespie.

Glenn Ormesher said " I'm thrilled to be leading the squad at next week's mini-series and showcasing men's netball in areas outside of Brisbane." All games will be open to the public and netball fans are encouraged to attend and witness the state's best young talent go head-to-head. The QLD Suns would like to thank the Sunshine Coast Lightening and Netball Queensland for their continued support and inviting us to this event.
