For the first time, this weekend 12 & 13 June 2021, the QLD Suns are hosting the 2021 State of Origin Netball Series between fierce rivals, NSW and QLD. Brisbane is set to witness two of the best men’s netball teams go head-to-head in this three game series played across Open Men's, Reserve Men's and Under 20's divisions.
Any sporting code entering into a NSW v QLD State of Origin Series is guaranteed to light a fire and ignite the blue and maroon flames of pride in both athletes and supporters alike. Men’s netball is no different!
Their last encounter saw the QLD Suns defeat Men’s Netball NSW in a spectacular grand finale, closing out the Australian Men’s & Mixed Netball Championships 2019. This win for QLD was not only a defeat for NSW but robbed them of their third consecutive National Title. In netball, there is nothing more entertaining than witnessing four quarters worth of scores to settle.
The games will be held across three venues, with the Open Men’s division showcasing their games on the show court at Nissan Arena. The Open Men’s games will be live streamed on our QLD Suns Facebook page. If you’re unable to make it down to Nissan Arena, make sure you’re set to catch all the live action from wherever you are!

Both QLD and NSW are incredibly excited to showcase men’s netball throughout this series and could not be more grateful for the opportunity, for the Open Men’s to play the closer, following the Suncorp Super Netball Round 7 –Firebirds v Fever on Sunday afternoon.
